Absolutely Amazing service, food, & presentation. I travel & dine at much more expensive places & this meal far surpassed any I have had in awhile. The service was impeccable, our waiter's recommendation for the hogfish was spot on, delicate & delish. Began the meal with the puff pastry with shrimp & scallops, amazing ! The service was attentive w/o being annoying. I will definitely be back!

Excellent, creative dishes. The menu is a bit abbreviated, but every dish we had was special. Extraordonary service. Jad to fight for a reservation, but worth the effort.

Great for dinner! I loved the food!!! We ordered the snails and omg it was sooo good!!! We also had the oysters and that was also very very good. So all the reviews talk about the lobster tango and so we ordered that. But not only was it $55, which i think is very pricey, but it was not worth the money either. I would probably expect it to be for 40. Yes, there was a lot of meat on the lobster, but it was not that great when it comes to flavor and taste. I do not recommend the lobster tango Overall, its a great restaurant, very pricey, and the food is delicious!

Presentation gets an A. Waiters look smart and try hard. Ambiance is charming. Plates look like they will be delicious. Unfortunately the grade slides down to a C- from there. I rarely eat lobster, so I took my time to research the perfect place. Yelp reviews lead me here so I expected a home run- not a foul. I chose the 29 year old special- lobster mango tango, if the dish makes it to 30 it lived too long. Dry, chewy, drenched in mango juice with a mini potato cut in half and a cherry tomato stuffed with mushroom pate at a $55 price tag leaves your tongue feeling robed. Drinks were okay but there are plenty of other options in key west that won't make you leave dissatisfied.

Outstanding. I had the hogfish special with lobster bisque and the shrimp with tomato sorbet. Lobster bisque was only ok I had a much better bisque at the Fish House in Key Largo yesterday. BUT the shrimp and hogfish was so over the top that I had to give this place 5 stars. Waiter was great. I never felt a negative vibe for sharing all those dishes with my wife. Definitely worth going to when in Key West...! Just got the dessert my wife ordered-- homemade pistachio ice cream I said I didn't want any but tasted it and ate almost half--so freakin good! She says it may well have been the best meal she has ever had! For me it's hard to beat a bacon wrapped pretzel dog but this was outstanding!

We dined at Pisces last week, hoping it would be as good as our last visit years ago. We were not disappointed. The decor and atmosphere (including the Warhol prints on every wall) were still great, and the service was impeccable - our server Jared hit the right balance of professionalism and friendliness. And the food -- I started with a Manhattan, made perfectly. We had the Terrine appetizer, my wife chose the signature Lobster Mango Tango, which she let me taste, and I had the Mutton Snapper special, also excellent. Pricey but worth it for a nice night out.

Not Impressed! We dinned here last Saturday night - when we made reservations they seemed like it was tough to accommodate our time and yet there were only 2 other tables occupied. (7:30pm on a Sat.) Then our waitress: Honey, please get over yourself. Didn't know we were paying for your attitude as well. I mean, if you think you're so much better than the people you're serving perhaps it's time to get out. Our actual dinner was good, not great. No need to chance this place - way too many other great choices in Key West.

French in preparation, service, and environment. A nice reprieve from our busy holiday in Key West. We found it by accident but could not have been more pleased. The bisque was our least favorite item but even that was quite good! The escargot in puffed pastry with presentation by an incredibly attentive waiter was divine. The waitress was flawless in pacing our courses. Main dishes were visually interesting, perfectly seasoned, and generous. Little extras gifted from the kitchen, like a salmon mousse and caviar aperitif, a nice lime sorbet, and a small portion of nuts and truffles at meals end make Pisces seem more expensive than it is. Music selections were delightful and the lighting is most flattering. Good value for a well considered meal and first rate service experience.

We come here every year for Thanksgiving and they do an excellent Thanksgiving meal special mainly with seafood. The seafood is fresh and is always beautifully plated. It always looks like art to me. Key West Pink Shrimp dish was spectacular, fresh and served with a really neat sauce. There is something very old school about this place. The manners, decor, service are just so decadent and pleasureful. It has a hint of old school glamour mixed in with new school appeal. Don't miss their soups. They are all made from scratch and inspiring. They are so good you might have an epiphany. and with a place like this get a bottle of wine to share it just adds to the experience.

2.5*. The service was great, and the restaurant still looks like what I remember. Great art on the walls, great island vibe, just overall a good time. I've been coming to Cafe Des Artistes (now Pisces, but the same owner/people/building, just slightly different focus) for over 20 years. I remember going as a small kid and being in awe of the great French food, and I remember going with my significant other nearly 12 years ago and introducing him to how great it was. That all said, this time around, the food was mediocre. I had a dish I've always loved, the Aphrodite, as my appetizer. It used to have a velvety, rich sauce that reminded you of a Newburgh, only not nearly as heavy. This time around it tasted of cheap butter and "stuck" to my mouth in a gross way. The texture was just completely wrong and was nothing like I remembered. As an entree, I had the hogfish special. The fish was well sauteed, but it was drowned in what I have to imagine was the sauce from the Aphrodite, only doctored up a bit with truffle oil. It still had a mealy, sticky texture and was not appealing at all. My partner had the surf and turf, and while it's still a solid dish, the "sauce" on the steak was more like a gravy and was "sticky". It's really a shame, because the service was absolutely top notch. With all of the great new options in the Keys, I fear that Pisces days are numbered if they don't get their act together and return the kitchen to it's former grandeur. I would be sad to return to KW and not have it be there.

Never in my life have I enjoyed a dining experience as I did here. From the call for reservations to the check was 110%. The food was out of this world. The GM was one of the best, and for what we got the price was awesome. The hog fish was suggested and a grand slam. Thank you for the experience.

Silly, but we picked this restaurant because we were there for my birthday in March. It was wonderful though. It's a bit off the beaten path, which actually made parking easier. The ambiance is nice, the martinis were tasty, the appetizers, entrees, and dessert were wonderful. We stuck with seafood, and it was so fresh! Ah. I'd absolutely go back.

After reading the great reviews we went in last Saturday night with high expectations. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to it... Their website shows they offer 2 options of Chef tasting menu's, but in reality they don't offer that as a choice. So as we looked over the menu we noticed that they used Maine lobster, not Caribbean, and that their selection of seafood entrees were all not local/fresh either. If my memory serves me, they had halibut, salmon and grouper (grouper isn't in season until June 1st) which would all have to be flown in and/or frozen. We can get any of those selections at home (St. Louis) so I settled on the surf-n-turf and my gf had their signature Tango Mango lobster. We shared and they were pretty good but not even close to the level of meal we had at Latitudes a couple nights before for essentially the same $$$. Our service was excellent but overall we were really hoping for a better selection of local / fresh fish options so this was a disappointment.

Had the monk fish special (on a bed of sweetened onions, paired with mussels, scallops and a to die for stuffed roma tomato...seemed to be flavored with wasabi/garlic..stuffed with a spinach mixture and topped with breadcrumbs) on the company...or else I would have walked right back out. My jaw dropped when I saw the set tables..it's one of those situations the etiquette lessons are meant to prepare you for, multiple glasses..multiple forks...multiple plates..etc. Loved the atmosphere..dim lighting..quirky art work..classy feel. The wait staff was knowledgeable regarding their dining selections. It'd be nice to dine here again although there are probably other establishments to try out...

We had dinner here after we got married on the beach at sunset...this was the perfect ending to a perfect day! Its pricy, but well worth every penny! I got the yellow fin grouper...& its was the best fish I've ever had! Service was wonderful, restaurant was beautiful!

Expensive fine dining on Key West. Was called a foodie's destination in one review but that is only partly true. Prices are like that of Menton in Boston or Bouley in New York, but implementation is a couple of steps below. Expensive wine list, wines by the glass were only ok. Very good appetizers. We had a velvety rich cold roasted red pepper soup and a terrine of duck. Mains were also good, but sauces were loaded with butter that overwhelmed the two fish dishes. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and delicious. The goat cheese with truffles topping the filet did not have much truffle flavor but was heavy on leeks. The accompaniments for each dish was identical. A pretty bound ratatouille of vegetables and fingerling potatoes for each dish, nice but a little boring. Dessert was a flourless chocolate tart that was balanced too sweet, but was still tasty. Good special occasion place, but overpriced.

  • Eric T.

Service was great, food was marginal at best and the tab was $$$$. I ordered the surf and turf which consisted of a filet drenched in an oily, gravy like fois gras reduction, and a chewy, rubbery lobster claw and two petite shrimp......to the tune of $70....... For that price I anticipate a decent sized, "fresh' lobster tail. The appetizers disappointed as well, we had the escargot, and another disappointing $20 appetizer that consisted of two shrimp warpped in Phyllo dough.....They try to represent fine cuisine by charging big prices. Save your $$$$$, you'd be happier with a dozen oysters on the 1/2 shell from Hog's Breath.......

Amazing food. Service was superb. Very impressed - there was a slight mistake with our entree order and our waiter went above and beyond to make it right. Beautiful dining room with great Warhol prints. Would definitely go back!

Ok this place is sooo cute on the inside!! The wine selection was decent- the food well umm when you sit down they give you this little smoked salmon thing and it was amazing!! So looking over the menu- this place is suppose to be the best in key west - no so much!! We ordered escargots and some fish crap- it all sucked it was all rubbery and just plain nasty!! We all pretty much ordered the surf and turf- it was bad filet tough as nails and the turf part was 2 freezer burned shrimp and a crab claw that was soo rubbery I almost choked!! We were a table of 6 and the bill was over $1000 and well nobody finished their meals it just sucked all around!! Dumb dumb dumb I think McDonalds is way better than this place

From beginning to end, a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, with a few nice touches like the salmon mousse crostini hors d'oeuvre, palate cleansing lime sorbet and candied pecans and homemade chocolate truffles. I had the endive salad (to die for) and black grouper (excellent) and my husband really enjoyed the lobster bisque, and the hogfish special. I'm sorry to see that anyone gave this restaurant fewer than 5 stars- our experience was perfect!

FANTASTIC!!! Pisces was the best meal I had while visiting Key West. My mouth was watering while eating and continued after I had left. My only regret was dining there on my last night in town. I certainly would have returned the next day. Many restaurants in south Florida lack good service...not here. The waitstaff was very attentive and our waiter made some fantastic recommendations.

4.5 stars for food--true fine dining 4 stars for location and dining room 0 stars for service (snobby pretentious condescending plus other synonyms)--not even at the REAL cafe des artists in NYC is the service snobby so shape up shaved headed waiter! (-)4 stars (negative yes negative 4 stars) for the absolutely disgusting dismal dirty abhorrant gas station port-a-potty like bathroom...If I had to go back soley based on bathroom I'd NEVER go back! I am outraged that the bathroom was so nasty...IMHO a bathroom is an extension of the restaurant and this appendage needs amputation! Fix it Pisces!

  • Paul G.

Pisces is as good as proclaimed by others on Yelp! We started with the escargot in puff pastry & saffron sauce. Totally awesome! Very rich yet very tender with not a trace of sand or toughness that often is found in escargot. Next we went for the Lobster Tango Mango. I'm a New Englander who has eaten lobster many ways over the past 45 years... This Was The Best Lobster Dish I Have Ever Tasted! I cannot tell you how he does it but the flavor and the tenderness MUST be experienced! Bring a credit card with plenty of room to handle the cost but I promise you if you can afford Pisces you will definitely enjoy the experience! The service was excellent despite a full house and the decor is very nice as well!

I stopped here to get a drink with some friends when I was here in Key West, a very nice place for a place with a nice pace ;) The service was great, the locals were great, the location was great. Everything was great. No complaints. I would go back to Pisces to get a cocktail and meet friends any day. enjoy.

Best. Dinner. EVER. Was at the Keys with wifey and parents (who, as Filipinos, need a lot of rice to be full). Everything was awesome and out-of-the-box. Helix Escargo was a delicious pastry served with the oddest, tastiest sauce ever. Signature Lobster Tango Mango was excellent - even the garnishing buttered zuccini was a sensation never experienced. Advertised light red wine for my lobster truly matched it; I was concerned it might have been a marketing gimmick. I thought my sister's Surf and Turf was just a safety order - it was the BEST STEAK SAUCE EVER. I kid you not. Service was very personal, upfront, attentive and heartwarming. Lonnie was funny but also gave us a good local's heads up on other good restos. Gave us excellent dark chocolate truffles when we didn't order dessert since we were so full (for a good gourmet sit down dinner). We would have went back here to try the Foie Gras the waiter always ate when he didn't work there yet, if we had the time. You can't go wrong with this place. Triggered me to make my first Yelp review.

Great service, great food, impeccable attention to details in how the food was prepared. We are what you can describe as foodies and we had meals in all different places from food trucks, Colombian, cuban, and other seafood restaurants in Key West but this was by far the best overall experience. Before we left we were given a package of candied pecans and delicious truffles as a gift from the chef. Expensive restaurant but absolutely worth it.

This was highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel (which I am generally leery of because they can be in cahoots). We mixed up our reservation time and arrived when no one was there...actually they weren't even open yet but they seated us anyway and offered to bring us drinks while we waited for the kitchen to ramp up. The place is not very big. There is a ramp/walk way in the middle of the restaurant with tables on each side. We were nestled in the corner by the window which gave us some privacy. There was no true "bar" area. All tables. The staff was a delight. They explained everything in detail and made sure we were enjoying our meal. We each had a salad to start out...(Endive and Garden). Both were your standard salads and nothing to really stood out. They then brought us a crab/scallop item in a flaky pastry which was outstanding. It's one of those house deals instead of bread at the table...yummy! Then they brought out lemon sorbet to cleanse our pallets. Entrees: I had the grouper which if you get it in season down in Florida it's killer...and it indeed was! No fishy taste and lots of flavor... She had the mutton dijonnaise which she was ranting about all night. I assume it was great...I didn't try it... To complete our meal they brought out mini chocolate truffles with candied pecans...a nice end to a very good meal. Prices are on the higher end and it's worth it. Dress is business casual or dressy. The soft, subtle music playing the background was a nice added touch. It's a bit dark and romantic inside as well. ENJOY!

This place is good and nice atmosphere. The lobster dish was good. Only issue was that the sauce is very rich. The service was good and everyone was very attentive. I enjoyed the art on all the walls as well.

Don't leave Key West without eating here, for this place can give most of the better Manhattan restaurants a run for their money. The food is superb with dishes like gulf shrimp served with a creamy tarragon sauce. The lobster is Maine not that tough flavorless one from the southern waters sometimes called Florida lobster. Unfortunately I didn't try their signature dish Lobster mango tango, $52, which is supposedly fabulous, but I did have their recommended dessert a chocolate concoction of chocolate sauce over a chocolate mousse served with creme anglaise, definitely sinful. Service is good, and the ambiance is refined minimalist highlighted with signed Andy Warhol prints on the walls like Mick Jagger signed both by Mick & Andy. I sat near chairman Mao, one of the worst mass murderers of the 20th century. Don't miss this place, expensive but worth it.

Classy place! Great service and delicious food. This is one of the few fine dining establishments we ran across in Key West. We showed up without a reservation but they were able to seat us. The mahi was very good as were all the sides and salads. Pricey but an enjoyable meal.

Our experience at Pisces was mixed but good overall. We started with the lobster bisque and it was WAY too spicy. The only flavor that came through was hot and burning and not so much lobster nor bisque. Our waitress seemed genuinely startled when she asked how the soup was and we both said too spicy. I imagine that they get a lot of folks who autopilot their way through that question and answer "fine" or "good." We ate during the second seating of dinner so I was a bit shocked that nobody during the prior seating mentioned this. Folks, dining is a collaborative thing. If you eat first and it's too spicy, tell the kitchen so the rest of us can be spared. I had the local hogfish for dinner and my dining PIC had the surf and turf. The ingredients were of really high quality and the dishes were well constructed. They were both delicious, though the kitchen was heavy-handed with the seasoning, oil, and butter at the expense of the phenomenal protein on the plate.

Stopped at this place with my wife and two kids seven and ten. I asked for a kids menu for my seven year old who is a picky eater French fries and chicken finger girl. The waiter said they were not that type of dining. I said to him I have ate at some of the finest dining places in the country and never seen not having something for young kids. He then got rude with us and we walked out. Then we went next door to eat and ordered finding out it was the same owner. The food was bland with little season.

my sister and i dined at pisces during our trip to key west as it was given the higest reviews in our zagat guide. the restaurant is a cute house covered in original andy warhol paintings which upped the wow factor for me...bon jovi makes everything better! my sister and i shared the salmon app and it was sooo good! we also both had the blood orange margarita that literally was to DIE for!!!! i had the seasonal steak/goat cheese/truffle oil and i might have really died then (and gone to heaven). although i couldnt move, my sis ordered the chocolate cake and i efinately ate a lot of it........for the quality of the food it really was not that expensive....it was fun to enjoy a beautiful meal in the lowkey beach town......

You have not lived until you have had the Lobster Tango Mango. This will always be my first memory of Key West. Love the Andy Warhol atmosphere and stellar service. I will always return whenever I'm in the Keys :)

This was my first really enjoyable meal in Florida! The ambiance was great, nice chill music, the food was mostly very good: (1) the Tango Mango (Maine) Lobster and (2) The Yellow Tail with Lump Crab and Maine Lobster) the dessert was delicious (Chocolate Lava Fondant) and the service was almost just right -the waiter was a little weird and creepy: besides his snotty personality, he flamboyantly displayed our neighbor diners our food-right below their faces- before bringing it to us). Otherwise, a lovely meal, nice flavors, both subtle and satisfying, as well as romantic.

Fantastic romantic restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. Pisces Aphrodite appetizer was a brilliant start to a decadent main course of hogfish and my girlfriend's triumphant entree of NY strip with goat cheese and black truffle sauce. Paired with a great wine, this meal made a night to remember Key West fondly with the tourist trap bland foods quickly fading from memory. Great choice! Make reservations though and choose the table beneath the Mick Jagger artwork for a cozy seating for two.

This was an incredible meal. Our server, Kevin, was probably the best server I have ever had. Not only did he have a full and complete knowledge of everything on the menu as well as the wine list, but he was friendly, attentive and took extreme care in describing the dishes almost as though that was an art form in of itself. I wouldn't normally make such a to-do about service but Kevin was outstanding. In addition, the food was divine, I had some incredible oysters to start and then a grouper served with a reduction from shellfish flavored with saffron. Everyone at my table said every single thing they ate was divine. Would absolutely reccomend Pisces for a beautiful fine dining experience in Key West.

pisces was a first for me. not only was it the first time i've been, but it was the first time ever that i went to eat at a restaurant in key west where i would consider the appropriate attire (wait for it)... dressy. def not the place to show up in flip flips, a t-shirt and/or shorts. i never thought i'd want to eat in a restaurant in the keys where you weren't able to wear the typical casual attire. that being said, i'd go back here in a heartbeat. the food and service were unbelievable. pisces felt waaay more miami than key west. the interior is modern, clean, and elegant, with bursts of color on the walls thanks to a handful of andy warhol paintings. the service was impeccable. from what i could tell, our waitress only one other table to deal with and best of all, she was there every time we needed her without being overbearing. in my opinion, that's a sign of a great server. ok, on to the food... i literally tried a bite of everyone's and it was all sooo delish. so as far as the appetizers... the beef carpaccio with arugala, truffle oil and shaved parmesan was quite possibly the best beef carpaccio i've ever had. the 'pisces aphrodite' was possibly one of the best things i've eaten in a really long time. lobster, shrimp, and sea scallops baked in puff pastry with lemon tarragon butter will always sound good to me, but the presentation and complexity of flavors made it to die for. on to the entrees... everything was amazing however, the two standouts were the 'lobster tango mango' and the hog snapper special. their signature 'lobster tango mango' was unreal. a very unusual and outstandingly delicious take on lobster; shelled maine lobster flambeed in cognac with shrimp in saffron butter, mango and basil presented in a very geometric pattern. even though i thought the hogfish special was one of the best dishes, my mother said that she enjoyed cafe sole's hog snapper a bit more. the cappuccino i ordered was rich and delicious and perfectly complimented the chocolate fondant (which i'd also highly recommend). ok, so i realize i've raved about pisces, but i knew what i was getting myself into... $$$$$. in my defense, it was my mother's birthday and i really wanted her to have a memorable dinner. that being said, i'm sure if your server wasn't just ok or the food was just okay... you might be really pissed cause it costs. we spent just about $100 a person. ouch!

Very nice and very pricey! I was treated like a royalty while dining here. We really did it up when ordering. I even ordered a bottle of Crystal to go with dinner. It was an unforgettable dining experience thanks to the romantic atmosphere and the very knowledgeable waiter. Loved the Lobster Tango Mango, Yellowtail Snapper "Atocha", and Mussels "Indochine"...We received free samples of desserts and other treats because we spent so much money there. Thanks!

This restaurant is an excellent experience that will peak your senses. The walls are decorated with original lithographs of Andy Warhol pieces- very interesting and created an atmosphere that felt very classy. Our server, Andrew, was incredibly knowledgeable about the diverse menu, recommending a great merlot that paired well with a special cheese sampling that was a chef's special. Our table also sampled the foie gras appetizer, which was well worth it considering the exceptional flavor. The entrees were exquisitely prepared and the presentation was fantastic. I ordered the chef's special NY style steak, which had a flavorful sauce and a sampling of vegetables, which complemented each other very well. Overall this restaurant provides incredible service from a knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly staff, exhibits great attention to the flavor and presentation of the food, all within an atmosphere that complements the experience. An excellent place to dine!

An amazing meal. No idea why the last 2 reviewers hated it. Make no mistake, it is expensive, but the menu is posted outside the door so it's not like it's a surprise. We had the Pisces Aphrodite to start, a delicious combination of shrimp, scallops and lobster in puff pastry. The seafood melted in your mouth and the sauce had fresh tarragon in it -- an unusual choice for seafood but very tasty. I had the Key West Pink Shrimp and my companion had the lobster tango mango. The shrimp (about 8-10) were both plentiful and well cooked in a delicious garlic butter sauce with more fresh tarragon. Garnished with what appeared to be a small square of gratin or dauphinois potatoes, a medley of small but perfectly cooked veggies (asparagus, summer squash, carrots), a small baked tomato stuffed with mushroom pate, and rice. The lobster tango mango was garnished similarly, albeit with a thin slice of mango atop each piece of lobster. We had the cheese plate for dessert, as we had no room for any of their richer options.

I was not expecting the fabulous meal we experienced tonight. We noticed the add in Travel Host and the Lobster Tango Mango just sounded too good to pass up and it was! Zach, the owner of Pisces, greated us and from the very minute we walked in the door we were impressed. Service was EXCELLENT, CUISINE was just heavenly and the atmosphere was intimate and relaxing. We loved Pisces so much that we will go back again before we leave and bring our friends next year for our annual vacation. Do Zack a favor and make a reservation, the poor man was running ragged last night with all the unexcepted walks-in, but he dealt with it beautiful, with a sense of humor and smile. Only made the experience better for us!

Went to keywest during Spring break seasons...(OMG...Florida's Boys). Anyway, It was my third time in Key West so dining at Pisces was a must. We stopped by, and while admiring the arts inside the restaurants, their mango lobsters were just too distracted to remember anything else. Pricey, but worth it. Small portions enough for me.

My husband and I took a trip to Key West to celebrate our first anniversary and chose this restaurant on a whim. When we arrived for dinner, they immediately seated us. We were struck by the Andy Warhol paintings on the walls and the sparse decorating otherwise. The restaurant is in an old home, so it is not large. It feels very intimate and romantic. The wine selection was excellent, the owner was our server and the food was to die for. We loved every minute of our visit to this restaurant and would definitely go back.

We just ate there last week. Wonderful food and service. The decor is tasteful and sleek. The food is prepared French style, subtle flavors with great attention to technique of plating. My husband and I started with the endive salad. Great flavors and was very fresh. (The first time in the keys I felt like I was eating healthy.) I had the special hogfish (local white fish which has to be hand speared to catch), served with lump crab and seared scallop and delicate saffron sauce (Dieppose sauce). This dish was surprisingly light and not too rich. The only negative was the parking. Had they informed us it was difficult we would have left our hotel much earlier. After we had drove around and around for ten minutes, I called and they suggested the bank parking two blocks down the street. Don't arrive in your denims, simple kakais for men and nice pants or simple dress for women. You can dress up if you like but, not necessary.

Top to bottom one of the best meals I've had in a looong time - from the service to drinks to appetizers and entrees (did not have dessert). It was July 4th weekend and the restaurant was scheduled to close early at 8pm so that the staff can go see the fireworks, but I didn't know that. So 2 of us walk in just before 8, and the waiter graciously seated us anyway and didn't even mention anything about it (we only found out later because we were chatting with the waiter and asked why it was so slow, at which point he told us that they actually closed a few minutes after we walked in). We were then served some fantastic drinks (waternelon martini was awesome!) and great food. The menu sounds a little less than exciting on the surface, since most of the dishes are pretty standard American seafood fare. However, all of the ingredients were very fresh and prepared perfectly in a simple way. Will definitely be back if I'm ever in the Keys again.

Went to Pisces week of December 26th with friends we just met. They had been there before and raved. After dining - we agreed. Everything was excellent. To detail - the overall restaurant is very small (maybe 25 tables). They had a bar, but you could not sit at it to await your table. Our waiters were incredibly knowledgeable about each dish and were able to guide us to the right dish. We had the well known Mango Tango - and found it tender, well seasoned and the perfect sauce. The quantity was smaller than anticipated for the price, but the lobster was excellent. The small stuffed tomatoe on the side was not the best, but I didn't really mind. Our wine pairing was excellent and we skipped dessert because we were full - but they had some homemade ice creams which sounded delicious. Sad to read that others did not have as good an experience, as we found Pisces the best restaurant in Key West. We tried a few and were very disappointed. We wished we would have gone back to Pisces twice. Enjoy...

This is a restaurant you could pass on. The food, service and overall experience were forgettable. The staff including the chef take themselves to serious, flavors were an attempt at creativity that failed. Over all if you have run out of other places to eat go ahead and try it. Otherwise go else where.

We walked in without a reservation and got seated immediately. The service is good and food is great. Second floor of the restaurant is outdoor - with the great weather at Key West, it's especially comfortable and romantic at night. We especially enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer. Four stars because my duck was slightly burned.

A very nice place (but pricey)!! We had their "signature dish" Lobster Tango Mango ($49!!!) and it was excellent. The lobster was completely taken apart and presented in a nice geometric pattern. Hors D'oeuvres were also impeccable, we had duck terrine and a green salad. The portions are European, i.e. ask for some more bread if you are still hungry...;-). Wines and Champagne were also of excellent quality. The Champagne was fresh and had the right temperature. The service was also very attentive. The interior is on the solid/boring side, but considering the food, not very important. Bottom line: If you are ready to spend some for a special meal, this is a cool place to go. You will not be disappointed.
